Microsoft Postscript Printer Driver Windows 7
This section explains how to install the PostScript 3 printer driver under Windows 7 for use over a USB interface.
Manage Printers permission is required to install the driver. Log on as an Administrators group member.
If the printer driver has already been installed, plug and play is enabled, and the icon of the machine connected to the 'USB' port is added to the [Devices and Printers] window.
The printer drivers can be installed from the CD-ROM provided with this machine.
If the printer driver is not installed, follow the plug-and-play instructions of the machine to install it from the CD-ROM provided with this machine.
Connect the machine to the computer using the USB cable.
Connect the USB cable firmly.
Click [Devices and Printers] from the [Start] menu.
[Devices and Printers] window appears.
In [Unspecified], double-click the name of the machine whose driver you want to install.
Click the [Hardware] tab in the printer properties dialog box.
Select the name of the machine whose driver you want to install, and then click [Properties].
Click [Change settings].
Click the [Driver] tab.
Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
If the [AutoPlay] dialog box appears, click the [Close] button.
To disable Auto Run, press the left [Shift] key when inserting the CD-ROM into the drive and keep it pressed until the computer finishes reading from the CD-ROM.
Click [Update Driver..].
Click [Browse my computer for driver software].
Click [Browse] to select the printer driver location.
If the CD-ROM drive is D, the source files of the printer driver are stored in the following location: D:DRIVERSPSXP_VISTA(Language)DISK1
If 'Windows can't verify the publisher of this software' display appears in the installation, click [Install this driver software anyway].
If installation is successful, the icon of this machine connected to the 'USB001' port is added to the [Devices and Printers] window.
The number after 'USB' varies depending on the number of machines connected.
